Vidalia, GA—After finishing a notable first in Tuesday’s Primary Election, Ray McKinney took time to express his overwhelming gratitude to the many people who supported him.
“I want to thank those Republicans of the Twelfth District who voted for me in the July 20th primary election. Because of your support, I finished first in a field of four candidates with nearly 43 percent of the vote, 15 points ahead of the second place finisher. This was all accomplished even though I didn’t enter the race until April of this year. However, the battle is not over. I now must compete in the August 10 runoff. I need your support and votes so that I can be the GOP standard-bearer against Democrat incumbent John Barrow in November.”
“To all of my Republican competitors, I want to emphasize that whoever wins, we must unite to defeat Barrow and Pelosi. We have all campaigned on reducing spending, cutting taxes, protecting Second Amendment rights, protecting the unborn and elderly, and defending the Constitution. Our minor differences or disagreements must be put aside if we really want to change the leadership in Congress.”
